The Need for a Video
The University Neighborhoods Association needed a video that would remind everyone to observe quiet hours.
“Please be respectful during quiet hours”
We created a commercial video production showing how some of the most common noises specified under the UNA Noise Bylaws: power equipment, noisy residents, loud radio sounds, etc. can disrupt the silence and disturb a man reading a book during the quiet hours. He puts out a clock and politely asks the “noisemakers” to keep the noise down as we show a reminder to respect the quiet hours which is 10pm to 7am.
The UNA is responsible for local regulation (such as noise, parking, and animal control), as well as community programs and recreation, elections, landscaping, policies and by-laws, and acts as a liaison for the community’s use of UBC facilities. Residents’ concerns, opinions and views are heard through the UNA and it will help shape future development and the allocation of community facilities at UBC.
The talents were very cooperative, it didn’t take us long to finish the shoot.
